Best time to visit
November through February (dry season) for safer, swimmable pool conditions and easier forest paths. Avoid the height of the rainy season unless accompanied by an experienced local guide, as trails can flood.

From Accra, follow the N4 to Koforidua (about 1.5 hours), then take the Koforidua-Begoro road northeast for another 45 minutes to an hour. Trotros run from Koforidua's main lorry park directly to Begoro; from the Begoro station, arrange a local guide or okada to reach the falls trailhead.
Arrange a guide in Begoro town rather than attempting the trail alone. Paths are unmarked and it's easy to lose the route. Wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring your own water. Mobile network coverage is weak beyond Begoro town center.
Nice alternative to Boti but honestly a smaller falls than I pictured from the description. Still, the hike through the forest to get there was enjoyable on its own.
Off the beaten path in the best way. No vendors, no crowds, just forest and water. Bring your own everything since there's nothing to buy nearby.
Secluded and beautiful but the road getting there was rough, our car scraped bottom a couple times. Worth it for the peace and quiet, way less commercial than the bigger falls.
We had the whole waterfall to ourselves, complete opposite of Boti Falls which was packed. Trail in is a bit rugged, wear real hiking shoes. Ask a local guide in Begoro town to take you, hard to find alone.
