From Kumasi, VIP and O.A. buses run to Sefwi Wiawso via Bibiani (about 4 hours). From Takoradi, trotros connect through Enchi and Bibiani (roughly 5 hours).
Arrange your palace visit in advance through the municipal assembly, dress modestly, and bring a small courtesy gift for elders.
Good base town for exploring the wider Western North region, decent guesthouses and the traditional area itself is easy to walk around in an hour or two.
We got lucky and visited during a chieftaincy event, drumming and full regalia on display. Even without that, the palace itself has a dignified presence worth seeing.
Mostly an administrative town, not a huge amount for a casual visitor unless there's a durbar happening. Worth a stop if you're passing through though.
Seat of the Sefwi paramountcy and you can feel the importance of the place even on a quiet day. Palace grounds are well kept, staff were welcoming when we asked about visiting.
