Near Liati Wote village, Afadjato South District, Volta Region
From Accra, take an STC bus or shared taxi to Hohoe (4.5-5 hours), then a trotro to Liati Wote (about 45 minutes, partly unpaved). Register at the Liati Wote information centre where a guide is assigned for both the falls walk and, if desired, the Afadjato ascent the same day.
Bring a change of clothes if you plan to swim. There's no changing facility at the falls. Combine with Afadjato only if you're reasonably fit; doing both in one day makes for a long, humid outing.
Good short hike, guide from Liati Wote was knowledgeable about the plants along the way. Bring water shoes if you plan to get in.
Nice small falls but water flow was low when we visited in the dry season, wasn't as dramatic as photos online suggested. Might be better in rainy season.
Way fewer crowds than Wli and just as pretty in my opinion. The forest walk in is half the experience with all the birds and butterflies along the trail.
Paired this with the Afadjato climb, did Tagbo the next morning as a cooler down day. Walk through the forest to reach it is shaded and pleasant, maybe 40 minutes from Liati Wote.
