Trotros from Circle, Kaneshie, or Tema Station to 'Ministries' or 'Arts Centre' stop directly outside the market. Easily combined on foot with a visit to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and Independence Square, both within a 10-15 minute walk.
Bargain confidently; first-quoted prices for visitors are rarely final. Bring small cedi denominations, and budget extra baggage space if you plan to buy kente or carvings in bulk.
Good one stop shop before leaving Ghana for gifts and souvenirs. Kente selection especially is huge with a range of quality and price points.
Found a beautiful hand carved stool here that I still use at home. Some vendors also do custom orders if you want something specific made. Bargain hard, first price is never the real price.
Selection is genuinely impressive but be prepared to say no repeatedly, vendors follow you between stalls sometimes. If you can handle the hustle the prices come down with negotiation.
Biggest craft market I've seen in Ghana, kente, beads, wood carvings, masks, you name it. Vendors are persistent so be ready to negotiate firmly. Good for souvenir shopping in one stop before flying home.
