From Accra, STC/VIP buses run via Hohoe to Jasikan (roughly 280km, 5-6 hours); from Hohoe itself, shared taxis cover the shorter 45-minute hop north to Jasikan. Local guides in Jasikan town can arrange half-day treks into the surrounding hills.
Hire a local guide in Jasikan town before setting out; trails are informal farm paths without signage. Bring water, sun protection, and cedi notes for a guide fee and any farm produce you might want to buy along the way.
Nice enough but there's no real trailhead or signage so we spent a while figuring out where to start. Would benefit from basic markers for visitors who aren't local.
Peaceful hike, not too strenuous, took us about 90 minutes to reach a good viewpoint. Locals in Jasikan were friendly and pointed us in the right direction when we got a little lost.
Climbed up in the early morning and the rolling highlands stretch out in every direction, mist still hanging over parts of the valley. Bring good shoes, the path gets steep and a bit slippery after rain.
