Sunyani is served by STC, VIP, and O.A. Travel buses from Kumasi (about 2.5 hours) and Accra (about 6 hours). Once in Sunyani, the park is a short walk or shared-taxi ride from the central lorry station and main commercial district.
Bring small cash notes for food vendors, and visit in the late afternoon when the park is at its liveliest but still well-lit.
Simple public park but well maintained compared to some others I've seen. Good for families with kids in the evening.
I come here most weekends when I'm in Sunyani. It's clean, well lit at night, and a good place to meet friends without spending money on anything fancy.
Fine for a quick stroll but not much else going on. Some of the walking paths could use repair.
Decent park for an evening walk in Sunyani. Gets a nice breeze in the evening and there are food vendors around the edges if you want something to eat after.
